Whispering secrets to those who dare to listen
Founded in New York in 2020 by curator and art advisor Destinee Ross-Sutton, Ross-Sutton Gallery has quickly established itself as a significant platform for contemporary Black and African artists. With an additional space in Stockholm since 2023, the gallery presents bold and thought-provoking exhibitions that challenge established art world narratives, foster inclusive dialogues, and build lasting relationships between artists, collectors, and communities.
Ross-Sutton’s curatorial approach emphasizes integrity, advocacy, and the cultivation of long-term artistic careers over short-term market trends. The gallery’s programming extends globally, from thematic group shows during the Venice Biennale to historical surveys like 4000+ Years of African Art in St. Barths, creating spaces where underrepresented voices are amplified and celebrated.
